The mission of the AESN was to bridge the gaps between job seekers and employers through holistic, integrated and principled career development. They are guided by a philosophy that seeks to build a partnership between "Aboriginal people and identified community, business, and government leaders, to determine the employment needs and economic goals within their respective communities." They endeavour to maintain a holistic model of service that emphasizes the importance of stakeholders. A high standard of professional competence is inscribed in the AESN's code of ethics. Competency issues such as professional misrepresentation, discrimination, and accuracy of information, are dealt with in this code as a way of outlining specific practices that jeopardize the client/community/counsellor relationship. 1, record 1, English, - Aboriginal%20Employment%20Services%20Network
